Today I met Serene, the owner of Pink Bunny, a lingerie boutique on Union Street in San Francisco. It's a beautiful, light filled store with an incredible variety of lingerie. Serene opened the boutique because she wanted to create a place where the majority of women could come and feel like they could afford it. She wanted each woman to find something special and new and not have an awkward experience. When she trains her employees she wants them to get to know each client and discover how the client wants to feel beautiful. Serene has a little bit of everything to support all the different ways women feel amazing. She stocks a variety of styles, fabrics, colors, and sizes. Her motto, "genuine beauty today" aligns with my approach to boudoir photography. Each woman is beautiful just the way she is, and I want to capture that in artistic images that tell her unique story.
When you arrive at Pink Bunny, a staff member welcomes you and talks to you about what you are looking for. They'll pull options from the displays and even put them on the mannequin so you can see how they fit. The staff have tried on the lingerie themselves, so they know how different pieces will fit on different bodies. They'll bring everything to the dressing room and help you find the perfect choice. They can also order different colors or sizes if you fall in love with something that isn't in the store. And the best part, they can mail it directly to your door. Serene recommends coming in at least two weeks in advance of any special occasion to allow time for orders. Oh, and did I mention they also sell products like accessories, bath & spa, and even toys and lubes. My experience at Pink Bunny was fabulous. They were friendly and helpful, they have an incredible variety of options that appeal to different tastes, and they are affordable.
